Mr. Hughes was like a father figure to me. From when I was a freshman, he was always there for me for both school and life, and that never stopped even after graduating. I was with him that Thursday before he passed, and he still was giving me life lessons and supporting me in events I was doing. His last words to me there was that I was one of his favorite students and he was proud of me.
