Girls’ swim district recap

Individuals and relays from the girls’ swim team achieved notable success at the District 1 Championship meet.

February 23 and 24 were historic days for the LM girls’ swim and dive team. With nearly all grades represented, the stellar team made a splash in the North Penn pool.  The district one championship meet is no new experience for LM: the team takes stacked squads each year.  With several podium finishes, the Aces are ready to compete at the state championships in York, PA. Several key players to the Aces’ success were Katie Potts-Drew ’26, Iris Xiong ’26, Annabel Bailey ’27, Briana Klock ’27, Alexa Conner ’24.

Update- 3/17/2024

The girls’ swim team had a tremendous showing at states!  Alexa Conner ’24 placed second in both the 200 IM and the 100 back.  Both of her performances crushed her own previous school records.  Briana Klock ’27 finished twenty fourth in the 200 IM and the 100 fly.  Lastly, The 200 medley relay and the 400 free relay both placed sixth in the state.  Not mentioned in the article was Laney Harris ’24 who placed twenty ninth in the 100 back.  Congratulations to the girls’ swim and dive team; it has truly been an extremely successful season!
