Dear Graduates:
As you step into this exciting new chapter of life, remember a few things that matter more than you may realize. Make your bed every morning—it’s a small victory that starts the day with purpose. Call your parents at least once a week—one day you will understand how much those calls mean. Enjoy the present moment, because life moves faster than you think, and happiness is often hidden in the ordinary days.
Be kind whenever possible and lend a hand without expecting anything in return. Respect your family’s traditions, even as you create your own path. Know yourself well, and practice metacognitions: you are not every thought that passes through your mind. Learn to pause, breathe, meditate, and listen to yourself with honesty and compassion.
Have fun. Smile often. Laugh at your mistakes—they make the best stories later. Travel whenever you can, not only to see the world, but to open your mind and your heart. Read books, ask questions, stay curious, and never stop learning. Choose friends who make you better, and be that kind of friend to others.
Most importantly, believe in yourself, especially on the days when confidence feels difficult. Success is not only about achievement, but also becoming a good human being along the way.
And finally: wash your dishes before they become a science experiment.
Congratulations, Class of 2026. The world is waiting for you.
Gracias,
Sra Nemoy
